Elena Serebryany, CPA, founded TYM Business Consulting in 2012 with a clear mission: to build a firm that could serve businesses operating on both sides of the US-Canada border without the coordination friction of working with two separate accounting firms.
Over more than a decade, Elena has advised hundreds of businesses on cross-border tax structuring, SR&ED tax credit claims, FIRPTA compliance, and international treaty positions. Her dual expertise in both US and Canadian tax regimes is rare in the industry and is the foundation of TYM's differentiated service model.
Elena holds CPA designation from CPA Ontario and is an IRS Certified Acceptance Agent (CAA), authorized to certify identity documents for ITIN applications without requiring clients to mail original passports to the IRS.
She is fluent in English and Russian and serves a significant Russian-speaking client base across Toronto and Miami.
